Hey Everyone, This year is already starting off well. I hope everyone has enjoyed their holidays. We've had some very interesting weather patterns this month. I just wish things stayed 55 degrees without snow! Oh well. It could be worse though, I think a long time ago there was a blizzard in the middle of July. Northeast Championship Wrestling came back on the 7th in Dedham, MA. Generation Slam accompanied by the lovely Amber defeated The Maine State Posse to retain their tag team championship in the main event. It was a hard fought battle for both teams, even my assistant, outside official: Mike Mongoose got super kicked. He was fine though. Generation Slam is making huge waves in NCW. Generation Slam, the team of Tim Pittman and Jon Thornhill, just might become the best tag team champions of all times. Slamtech Wrestling returned to the Woodward Hall in Seekonk, MA. Canadian Destroyer has never been so hostile as he was this night. In the main event for the Slamtech Wrestling Heavyweight Championship, Canadian Destroyer attacked the champion Joe Chece with his Canadian Flag! It didn't just stop there though. The bell was called, and Canadian Destroyer was disqualified. The Destroyer continued to attack Joe Chece with the flag, even as far as choking him with the pole! Joe Chece's friends ran out as I tried to help freeing Chece from this chokehold, and the Destroyer fled the ring. Brutal Bob Evans came out and declared that Canadian Destroyer will be in a match with Joe Chece on April 24th, in a Flag match! If Canadian Destroyer loses in this match, Evans said that they would remove his mask! Eastern Pro Wrestling returned to the Plainfield Town Hall on the 28th. The Tag Team championship had been declared vacant due to injuries of Andre Lyonz of the A-List. Afterburn is at this point the number one contenders and is set to face Pride (the number two contenders) for the vacant titles. The flamboyant team of The Stroke disputed this, as Pride hadn't been seen around. EPW President, Rick Bauer, granted The Stroke's wish to take on Afterburn for the vacated EPW Tag Team Championships later that evening. In the Tag Team Championship match, Ray Diamond and Ryan Waters ended up in a forearm battle. Ray Diamond attempted a running-forearm, but Ryan Waters moved out of the way, and clumsy me ended up getting hit. During this time I heard some commotion going on in the ring. I did however see Pride walking around ringside after a few minutes of recovering on the outside. Dan Freitas, actually helped me get back into the ring to continue officiating this match. Afterburn finished The Strokes off for the pin, and took home the EPW Tag Team Championships. I did however see this on EPW TV, and you should check it out yourself. Highlights from this tag-team match is on week#2, at epwwrestling.com. Well Thats it for this time. Dan Tanaka |
