Hey Everyone! It's that time of the year yet once again! I know some of you, or many of you may be annoyed by the commercialism, drunken family get-togethers, or maybe you always get the Christmas blues. I always find things to enjoy about Christmas. I enjoy the time away from the same old day-to-day life, resting at home, enjoying great dinners and some classic Christmas Tales on DVD. Speaking of Christmas Tales on DVD
Here
are my favorites! It's a Wonderful Life: A man who gets to see and hear the things we all wish we could hear to understand the purpose of our lives much better. The things you only get to know, like how you touched someone's life at your funeral. This is one of those movies that could have been a great story even without the Christmas theme behind it! Scrooge / A Christmas Carol: All right, now THIS is a story that EVERYONE knows. There are so many variations, and 30-minute sitcoms have all done some sort of theme out of this around Christmas time. I have a few different versions of this myself. Probably one of the more known ones, Scrooge starring Albert Finney in a musical version. Then there's A Christmas Carol starring Patrick Stewart. This one is probably the best made I've seen. I like it more especially because I like how the Ghost of Christmas Present takes Scrooge around the world showing him how many different people celebrate Christmas including pirates. Also A Christmas Carol starring Alastair Sim in the 1951 film. This DVD is unique as it is in black and white and full color. Finally, the version that started it all for me, Disney's making of Mickey's Christmas Carol! Don't forget the comedic version: Scrooged! Honorable mentions: Charlie Brown's Christmas, Santa Clause The Movie, 8 Crazy Nights, and Bad Santa! Now these are some things to enjoy for Christmas. How about Egg Nog, Candy Canes, and well all those other seasonal foods, which are only around this time of the year! Quiet a few people in Eastern Pro Wrestling have received a Christmas Gift, though they received this through hard work and consequences of other folks! Michael Sain will be facing Paul Lombardi in a No-Disqualifications match in Plainfield, CT on January 27th, but also the night before in New Bedford in a Steel Cage match. Both matches are for the EPW Heavyweight Championship! Newcomer, Brandon Locke won the Steel Sixteen Final Four match involving Brutal Bob Evans, Maverick Wild, and Rocket Fred Curry. This earns him a title shot of his choosing at any time of the year! I hope you all will receive something of what you wanted for Christmas! I myself don't have much of a list, except for success and that's something I have to receive through hard work. Believe me I will be working harder in the coming year! Well everyone, I'm taking off. I have DVD's to get through this Christmas Eve Night and Christmas Day. I hope you all find something to enjoy about this even though the unpleasant things come with it.
