Hey Everyone, We are now approaching a special time in our country! America celebrates its independence on the 4th of July. Some of our citizens are always negative about everything we have going on. The war, our current president, economy, their own personally lives. They blame it all on someone else. We have our problems as a country with those issues. We have many others along the way such as illegal immigration. I believe these problems are here for one reason. America is the best country in the world. Why else would these people want to sneak into our country, avoiding the legal and hard way? Terrorists (yes, terrorists) are looking to take our country down. I wonder why? Because our country is better than theirs! In what other country do you have the choice of how to live your life, your own opinions, religion, and can speak your mind on things without getting mauled for it? We have our restrictions on some things for good reasons. Some liberals who want everything to be 100% free don't realize if it was that way we could have chaos in our country. But you are still free to believe as you wish. We can vote for whom we want as our president without intimidation, or threats. America may have its problems, however we are not as bad off as the rest of the countries. Our government may be a bit corrupt. But is it as bad as the governments overseas? You would be surprised to see the corruption outside out government. So be grateful that we are not in the ditch like the many. You may feel disenfranchised, discriminated against, or oppressed. Try taking a look in seeing how much of it is your own fault, rather than passing the responsibility of your life onto someone else, like President George W. Bush. No, I am not a Bush supporter. But I have come to terms that not everything is his fault. I also voted for the other guy in 2004! Recently South Park had an episode where some flooding happened in a nearby town. The residents said, This is George Bush's fault! Of course this is a parody of the attitudes of the many residents in New Orleans after the hurricanes last summer. How is it his fault people? Did George W. Bush push a button that summoned three major hurricanes to pass through the south, and destroy New Orleans because many black people live there? Then these people proceed to raid the nearby Wal-Mart, not to get free new clothes or food, but television sets and DVD players! But oh that's probably George Bush's fault too right? The price of entertainment is not his fault, and is not his responsibility to provide it for you. Nor is it the responsibility of the tax payers. You people were given a blessing to get what you need to live a normal life, but you'd rather have high class accessories. Notice one thing. You were allowed to make that choice. You were not mauled for that, although many will question your intellegence. This rant isn't so much about defending our current President of the United States of America, this about taking appreciation for what you have here in this great country. We have it so far greater than the others. This 4th of July, instead of blaming others for your misfortunes take time to appreciate what you do have in your life and why you have it. Celebrate the fact that you live in the greatest country. If you're a citizen you should be more grateful than the immigrants we have here. If you are an illegal immigrant you shouldn't be here! Go back to your country, come back the right way through hard work and I'll bet you'll be more grateful to live here than ever. You might even take a chance to learn our language (ENGLISH!) I am proud to be an American. That's right, an American. It's true I have Japanese heritage, but I am an American. Why do we need to live in a politically correct world? If you are a citizen of this country, then you ARE an American. You are not European-American or Italian-American. You are not African-American. You are AMERICAN! Be proud of your heritage, but also be proud to be an American! Let's celebrate the American life, and our Independence! Fire up the grill, have a nice cook out with friends and family. Why? Because we can! God Bless America!
