I’m finally back, and it’s just grim again as the summer is fading away to the darker, colder days of fall. Yes folks, I am upset that it won’t be summer anymore. Summer is the only season I like. I’m not going to sit here and complain to everyone about my disgust on the changing seasons.

New England Championship Wrestling had a big bang for its United We Slam event. This was done in a multiple man tag-team elimination matches. It could be four on four, or five on five, etc. In the main event, “Revolution” Chris Venom d. “Brutal” Bob Evans to retain the NECW Heavyweight Championship in a 45-Minute Iron Man Match.

I went on to volunteer my time with Collision Pro Wrestling. This was to help a benefit event at the Anchor Lounge for Robin M. Lojko, in Millbury, MA. This was very different, aside from this event being outdoors, this was in the parking lot of a biker bar. There was a burn out station for all the bikers to…well burn out their bikes. I think everyone lost about twenty years of their lives from inhaling that toxic smoke and fumes.

Wouldn’t you know it? NECW turned 5 years old! I can’t believe its been a year already since my last Birthday Bash. This years birthday bash was even wilder, though this time the Iron 8 has been placed on a separate event.

This time, two steel cage matches in Framingham, MA. In the first steel cage match, it was Brutal" Bob Evans, "Miracle" Mike Bennet, Frankie Arion, and "Revolution" Chris Venom vs. Golden Greek" Alex Arion, "Powerhouse" Kevin Landry, "The Pinnacle" Paul Lombardi + Michael Sain w/ Alex Crowley. This match was so wild, I can’t even do it justice by describing what happened. The stipulations were, if Bob Evans team wins, Bob and Mike Bennet would get five minutes alone with Alex Crowley, and his team did just that. Alex Crowley however was very reluctant to get in the cage. I had to take it upon myself along with the other officials and Bob’s team to force Crowley inside the cage. It was then the Framingham Civic League lights went out. The video screen turned on with a cryptic message from Alex Crowley. The lights came back on, with Alex Crowley, Mike Bennet and “Brutal” Bob Evans inside the cage. Just as Bob turned away from the screen, Mike Bennet swung a chair over Bob’s skull. As you all have heard, it was chaos from there.

Well, that’s all I have for this time…a short commentary. There’s so much more to come though. NECW events, on September 17th, which happens to be the day of my 25th birthday! Also on September 25th, NECW returns with its double header event at Good Times Emporium. Finally, Slamtech Wrestling returns on September 30th in Seekonk, MA.

Until next time,

Dan Tanaka
