Hey Everyone, I am delayed in this commentary. I've been meaning to write this up earlier, but things got in the way and took me away from it. I know, typical excuse, right? Since my last commentary, I made my way back to the Wrestling Federation of America for a weekend. I have missed out on a bit from the last time I was there. Steve Bradley seems to have really lost it. Whats he thinking by beating on a womens division wrestler, Nikki Roxx? Steve Bradleys attack on Nikki took place right after her match with Tanya Lee. I was trying to help Nikki to the locker room among with other referees, just as MoFo came to ringside, and called out for one of his MoFo Challenge. Nikki was barely getting to the curtain by this time, and he decided to pick on her.
To make a long story short, "MoFo" Steve Bradley, put her through a table. What does this guy think he is proving? Great, Steve, you put an already beaten woman through a table. Youve really proved yourself to be the baddest mofo of the show. I'd like to send out my condolences to the friends, and family of Dan "Spider" Quirk. Most people know that Dan Quirk died in a wrestling accident, just a few months ago.
I would also like to send out my condolences to the friends and family of Kevin "Damian Houston" Mailhot. Kevin died in a mortocycle accident last month. He spent sometime in wrestling, forced to leave from a shoulder injury.
Joe Chece has been very impressive in NECW. He has been doing an awesome job defending his Television Championship. One two occasions, he has defended the title, twice in a row. First in Plainfield Connecticut at the Plainfield Town Hall, Joe Chece defeated Egomaniac Johnny Idol in about 40 seconds. Johnny Idol demanded a rematch to which Joe Chece accepted. After a hard fought battle, Joe Chece came out on top. On Joes second occasion, he defeated a newcomer, B.K. Jordan. Thereafter, Brutal Bob Evans came out and issued a friendly challenge for the Television Championship. Once again, after a hard fought match, Joe Chece retained the Television Championship. Also in Plainfield, Connecticut. Miracle Mike Bennet battled against Michael Sain with his manager Alex Crowley in a falls count anywhere, no disqualification match. This match was all over the building of the Plainfield Town Hall, and that includes the hallway! Things were looking very Grim for Mike Bennet as Michael Sain had a steel chair to finish Bennet off. In the last second, Bennet dropkicked the steel chair, sending it off to the skull of Sain, giving Bennet the full advantage to defeat Michael Sain. This was truly a miracle for Mike Bennet, and his fans. June 5th was a night of New England Championship Wrestling in Womens action. On this night, eight women competed in a tournament to become the first ever NECW Womens Champion. These competitors included: Violet Flame, Jade, Nikki Roxx, Cindy Rogers, Riptide, Luscious Lilly, Mercedes Martinez, and Alere Little Feather. Mercedes Martinez and Nikki Roxx both made their way to the finals. During their match, someone Ive never seen around NECW before came out to the ring just as Nikki had Mercedes finished off. I went to attempt to dispose of her from ringside. I later learned that her name is Della Morte. As Nikki came to confront Della and myself, Mercedes attacked Nikki. I continued to attempt to dispose of Della Morte. She just wouldnt leave. Just as I was about to call for the bell, as I considered her an outside interference, she finally stepped off the ring apron., and Mercedes put the finishing on Nikki for the win. Mercedes has become the first ever NECW Womens Champion. How about special events? Killer Kowalskis All-Star Wrestling had its event that was held on as a fundraiser for the NEADS organization. Im always happy to work on this event, as I like the people I work with and its right down the road from me. The local access station was there to cover the event and conducted a brief interview with me. Donnie Rotten pulled a lucky victory over Kidd USA Jay Jailett. How? Im not so sure. Most I remember is Donnie Rotten set up Jailett for a superplex. Donnie fell backwards, and his shoulder hit my head and put me into a daze. After that I can only remember counting the three and seeing Donnie on top. All in all, Id like to thank Killer Kowalskis All-Star Wrestling for the opportunity for this benefit event. The food was great, and as always, its nice to work close to home. Finally onto his past weekend, NECW had its one part of the Uxbridge 4th of July Celebration, in Uxbridge, Massachusetts. This was a belated celebration as it took place on the 9th. We were outside in the drenching day, along with the Beach Boys cover band. So we had a wet ring, and occasional sprinkles. First few matches went with dry air and sunny skies, however. Sonny Goodspeed and Scott Ashworth defeated D-Unit with a double sleeperhold. Thats right. Scott Ashworth had Rocco Abruzzi as Sonny Goodspeed had Doug Summers. I did the only thing I could think of, and count arm drops of both Doug and Rocco. In the main event, in a dark, cold, DRIZZLING rain, Revolution Chris Venom took on The Pinnacle Paul Lombardi, defending the NECW Heavyweight Championship. This got a bit crazy and out of hand as Venom and Lombardi went outside to the wet grass, and almost went through event tables. As Venom had Lombardi finished off, some of the fans began throwing items into the ring that I had to immediately dispose of. I have to thank the fans that did that as I got free souvineers out of the deal. I got an Uxbridge event pin, and a glow stick! In fact just as I picked up the glow stick that Lombardi landed on, Chris Venom was on the top rope despite the slippery conditions and dove down on Lombardi with an elbow to retain the Heavyweight Championship.
Uxbridge was a fun event, it was nice to be out doors despite the horrible weather. I didnt get a chance to eat any of the food there, but it all smelled nice. I enjoyed the fireworks, and enjoyed hanging out with some friends I ran into. As for the REAL forth of July, I enjoyed a nice barbaque with burgers, hot dogs, and a steak! Not to mention, the beer. Remember kids, 21 means 21! Most importantly, drink responsibly! It was great to relax and watch some TV Series DVDS. I watched from Family Guy, King of the Hill, and The Greatest American Hero. I hope everyone else enjoyed their Independence Day!
