Hey Everyone, Its officially the fall season, and damn do I hate it. The sun goes down too early, causing the annoying solar glare while driving at inconvenient times of the day, and the air gets colder. I guess that will get better as time goes by. The only thing I look forward too in this season is the awesome Halloween stuff! This was a good month for me, as I celebrated my 24th birthday on September 17th while working for the Wrestling Federation of America in Dover, NH. While backstage of this event I learned of Sumie Sakai leaving for Japan where she will reside for about a year, and continue wrestling. Id like to wish her the best of luck in her career. NECW announces that Alex Crowley will be now WRESTLING in the company. This is due to his actions involving Michael Sains matches. Sheldon Goldberg is fed up with his antics. October 15th in Watertown, MA. It will be Michael Sain + Alex Crowley vs. Big Guns Frankie Arion + Golden Greek Alex Arion and the NECW Heavyweight Championship is in play. That means if Frankie or Alex Arion pin Michael Sain they will become the new NECW Heavyweight Champion. This was announced on September 18th after Michael Sain defeated Frankie Arion to retain the NECW Championship. While I was knocked down after being hit by Frankies legs as Michael set him up for a move, I guess Alex Crowley came out and helped Michael some how. Thats what Im gathering from Sheldons emotions after the match was over. Coming off last nights WFA event in Newport, NH, Scott Reed pulled off an amazing victory in a triple threat cruiserweight match with Justin Shaype and Frankie Fingers. Later on that night Die Hard Eddie Edwards d. The Graduate Timothy McNeany to retain the WFA Heavyweight Championship. Timothy provoked me through out this match for whatever reasons. Im there calling things down the middle, and he felt the need to push me around because Eddie Edwards would kick out on his pins. He even threw a chair in the ring! I had to dispose of the chair. I turned around and he had Eddie pinned. Eddie however kicked out. Timothy was angry at this point and shoves me. So what do I do? I shove him right back! You dont put your hands on a referee. Hes lucky enough I didnt disqualify him for that. I guess Timothy tripped over Eddie who was still on the ground, as Eddie scooped him into schoolboy for the win. In the final main event, Psycho Mike Osbourne was defeated by Straight Edge Brian Fury in a Steel Cage match. Brian was climbing over the cage, while at the same time, Mike Osbourne was going through the cage door. Brian took advantage of this and kicked the door in Mikes face. Mike retaliated and pushed the door open again hitting Brian, causing him to fall to the floor for the win. Next week, we kick off October with the return of Ringside Wrestling at the Loomis Arena. There will be a battle royal, with the last four men in the ring will face off in the main event for the vacant RW Heavyweight Championship. Michael Sain will take on Revolution Chris Venom, the Heritage Championship is also on the line. Well, thats all I got for this time. Next month theres a long string of WFA events, and there may be another Slamtech TV taping. Now lets bear through the colder months and just hope the time will pass by fast and well be in the summer again! Talk later, -Dan Tanaka |
