I apologize for the long delay. Many things have had me tied up, and I was unable to update. With out getting into details I shall catch everyone up in my thoughts as of late The earliest event I worked on since my last update was the Second Annual New England Independent Invitational. This is a tournament of eight men, plus one attraction match. This year, it was four tag-teams in a four-way elimination match. Much to my surprise, Maverick Wild did not repeat last years win. Maverick lost in the first round, and this years winner was Cueball. I have to believe the match between Alex Arion and John Walters, had to have been the hottest match of the night. Everyone was on their feet, yelling, chanting for their favorite between the two. When narrow escapes came, some fans were so upset that they threw their hats, or whatever they had in hand onto the floor. In the end, everyone had more respect for Alex Arion. Maybe except for a few fans I have been working with NECW on their recent shows, and have been enjoying my full time status as a referee. I have been finding myself on a few of their main events, in which one Michael Sain (formerly known as Psycho Mike Osbourne, re-named by his manager, Alex Crowley) defeated Maverick Wild for the Heavyweight Championship. I finally made my way back to work with WFA in Dover, NH on Friday night. It has been over a year since I last worked with them in Hookset, and I am happy to be back. I like to thank Ray for his recommendation on bringing me in again. While I was in Dover, I received contact from someone I have not talked to in almost a year. There was another Killer Kowalskis All-Star Wrestling event at the Wallace Civic Center in Fitchburg, MA for a benefit for the N.E.A.D.S. organization. The man in charge booked last minute. I am glad I was on for this event as I got to work with many old faces I have not seen in a long time. In other things I have obtained the special edition of the Game Boy Advanced SP. This one looks like the old NES system, with the control pad looking much like the old NES controller. I have also been buying some of the classic Nintendo games for it. So far, I have the original Zelda game, and cant wait to have the original Mario, and Excite Bike! Congratulations to two couples on their recent marriages! Keith and Rose married last week on Sunday. Karina and Kendal, who married last week on Thursday. Well, thats all I have for now. Im glad its at the time of the season I love most Late June, and early July. Not too long from now, we will be celebrating our Independence Day! Talk later, -Dan Tanaka |
